Awesome Urban Family • Salt Lake Family Photographer

Oh, my!! Time has certainly whizzed by for me. I really thought that I could be on a blogging once a day schedule this fall, lol... I really intended to! I have a good 50+ sessions that I need to blog and haven't had a second to get to. I need to block out an entire day to just blog everyone! If you are waiting to be blogged, I'm so sorry. This season has certainly been busier than I anticipated, but thankfully we are keeping up with everyone in studio. 

Here is a special session that I thoroughly enjoyed. I have 'known' Jen from Chic Boutique for three years now. I say that I've 'known' her only because she has had a booth next to me at the What a Woman Want Show every year for the last three years. I've loved her clothing, she's loved my photography and we finally came together this year! I photographed her gorgeous family in a fun urban location and the pictures turned out awesome!

This family was so great. I really love them! I was so honored to photograph them, as they had very poor experiences with photographers in the past, I am so grateful that they put their trust in me. 

They are such a loving and talented family (not to mention they are gorgeous!), and so much fun to be around!

Sweet Little Baby Evan • Utah Newborn Photography

I am so far behind on my blogging! I'm so sorry! I have been so busy for the last couple of months- it's just been crazy! I'm going to try so hard to blog several of the families that I've been photographing lately- there are so many and I just love my fall families! 

I also love my babies, and I have several to blog as well. So, I'll start with darling baby Evan! He is such a beautiful, chunky little guy! His mom and dad came in for their maternity portraits and I couldn't wait to see their new baby son. I knew that between the two of them, their baby would be gorgeous! I was right! 

I love this little face! He is so sweet!  

Jen and Todd are such loving and tender parents. They waited so long to get this sweet little boy. He is truly their miracle!

Wonderful Couple • Utah Family Photography

This couple was so much fun to work with! I really love my clients and I love getting to know these amazing people. Jerry and Diane are such a great couple! They are so much fun together, they laugh a lot together and just generally were a blast to be with. They were obviously very much in love also- which makes it even more fun for me, as I am a sucker for love! 

This is the image that they chose for the center of their canvas gallery. 

I love it! 

 

It was so fun to get them snuggling together- after just a moment it was like there wasn't a camera in front of them- they just laughed and snuggled and kissed...

Incredible Makeover! Utah Makeover Photography

What an AMAZING experience that I was able to share in this past month! I've been a vendor at the What a Woman Wants Show for the last three years and have formed a friendship with the Director of Events for the show, Marie Bowcut. When she called me last spring to ask me if I'd be willing to donate my services for a complete life makeover that her company was sponsoring, I was so thrilled! Several vendors got together to donate their services to make the life of a woman in our community better by making her look and feel her best. 

As vendors, we were all given a list of women who had entered an essay as to why they felt that they should be chosen for the makeover. Each vendor voted for their favorite and the overall winner was Diane Mark! It was so easy to see the amazing potential in this lovely woman, both outward and inwardly.

Diane was treated to so many wonderful services through Tressa Branin's company, Total Style Solutions. Tressa helped Diane through everything from the initial call to let her know she'd won, to going through her closet to see what clothes she already had that were good for her body type. Then she oversaw all of the wonderful treatments that Diane won, from life coaching to eyelash tinting, facial skin lightening to hair extensions and make-up. She even took Diane on an all expenses paid shopping spree! 

I got to know Diane before her make-over experience as well as photographing her afterwards. It was such a great experience!

Throughout our session, I kept having to stop taking her pictures to tell her again and again how beautiful she looked and what an amazing transformation had taken place. After about 45 minutes, I realized that the biggest transformation that I saw was actually in Diane's eyes. In her spirit and confidence. When I told her this, she started to cry and told me that she was truly so blessed to have been able to have this wonderful experience. She is really a changed woman, inside AND out! 

Congratulations Diane, on this life changing makeover. I wish you so much happiness and success with this new turn in your life. You really deserve it! I'm so thrilled that I was able to be a part of it. 

I can't wait to be a part of the next makeover in the spring of 2010!

Gorgeous Maternity • Utah Maternity Photographer

This beautiful woman was such a joy to photograph!  She's obviously beautiful, but she's also very warm and genuine. I loved getting to know her, and I can't wait to meet her new little son! We had such a fun time together during her session.

Awesome Outdoor Family • Salt Lake Family Photographer

I love meeting new families through my photography and I meet the most 'new' families this time of year!  I always look forward to this part the most. I can't even begin to explain how much fun it is to get to know all of you. I love watching the interactions between family members and even getting caught up in the antics and friendly teasing myself! 

This family was SO much fun. We actually met nearly a year ago at the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction . I'm a big believer in bringing healthy babies into this wonderful world, and the March of Dimes helps to do just that! I'd love to put a great word in for the March of Dimes 2009 Signature Chefs Auction coming up on November 14- follow the above link to find out more about it! 

Paul, the dad of the family actually good naturedly  'fought' with another bidder on a package I donated for the silent auction. I love it when MEN realize the need for beautiful photography for their families and jump at the chance to own some. I'm so glad that he brought his family to me!

During our session, we laughed and talked and had so much fun together.   Take a look! Mom and dad are on the left, their daughter and her husband are on the right. 

These guys are SO cute together. He absolutely adores her and her parents. It's so much fun to see that! Look at the sparkle in her eyes...I love her expression!

Paul and his wife were wonderful. I was so touched by Paul's love for his wife and family. He adores his wife so much and was so loving and complimentary to her. He is so happy too! At one point I was trying to get a more serious (not smiling) shot from him, and quickly realized that Paul, without a smile on his face, was not truly Paul. 

Judy didn't love getting her pictures taken, but you wouldn't know if from the gorgeous images we got of her! 

Paul's family is so blessed to have him. I can't imagine a more loving husband and father. 

Then they pulled out their University of Utah jerseys and the fun REALLY began! They are die-hard Ute fans and had to have some fun images in their Ute gear. I would LOVE to be sitting near them during a football or basketball game... they would be so much fun! 

Finally, my favorite from the session... I love the tenderness, the love and the lighting!

Lovely and Fun Maternity • Utah Maternity Photography

This session was so much fun! This couple is so loving and excited for their baby. They've waited an awfully long time to get their little miracle here, and I'm so grateful to be able to photograph their maternity and newborn sessions! 

Jen truly has the 'glowing' look that you hear about with mothers-to-be. Her skin is radiant, and so is her gorgeous hair!

I knew the minute I captured this image that it would be perfect. Loving, tender, the culmination of their lives together to this point... I really love this image. 

I can't wait to see how this soon-to-be-daddy is with his new baby. He is so tender with his sweet wife, I just know he is going to be such a loving and patient dad! I can just feel the tenderness in his expression. 

The best part of the session was their laughter. They laughed and giggled with each other the whole session. What a happy home this sweet baby is coming to!

I love watching the excitement building in the moms as they tell me all about their babies... names they've picked out, nurseries they've decorated... it's such a wonderful part of their live that they are beginning!

Thank you so much for coming to me for your maternity images. I'm so grateful that you trusted me with such a special occasion. I am excited for you to see all of your beautiful images and I especially can't wait to meet you new little one! We'll see you soon!

This beautiful little guy is such a sweet boy! He had a tough time during our session but his parents were so calm and loving with him. He has such a neet spirit about him, where you just want to hold and snuggle him- even when he's crying. He is really a little angel! 

He really liked it outside, and we got a lot of awesome images out there.
